The Olive Season 1 & 2
Role: Lead Cinematographer
A high-stakes, moody thriller centred on conspiracy and the secrets behind a seemingly perfect life.
Lawrence utilised low-light cinematography and a high-contrast colour palette to emphasise the "noir" elements of the story, creating a visual atmosphere of suspense that carried across both seasons on Accelerate Plus.

Title: Penance
Accolade:
WINNER — Best Short Film/Online Video (AMVCA 2018)
Role: Cinematographer / Technical Lead
Penance is a gripping psychological drama that delves into the sanctity of the confessional. The film follows a priest who finds himself caught in a moral and spiritual bind when a series of confessions pushes him to the edge of his faith and duty.
To capture the weight of the priest's internal conflict, Lawrence Adejumo utilised a "Chiaroscuro" lighting technique, emphasising deep shadows and singular light sources to mimic the claustrophobic and secretive nature of a confessional booth. The cinematography was designed to evoke a sense of intimacy and weight, utilising tight framing and shallow depth of field to draw the audience's focus to the characters' raw, emotional micro-expressions.
As the primary Cinematographer for this project, Lawrence’s work was a key factor in the film’s historic win at the 6th Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA). This project served as a landmark for the Accelerate Filmmaker Project, demonstrating the high technical bar Lawrence sets for the productions he leads.
